Omron STI SR108AD01 – SR1 Safety Monitoring Relay, 24 V AC/DC, Immediate and Delayed Outputs
The Omron SR108AD01 (formerly STI) is a safety monitoring relay from the SR1 series for monitoring safety devices such as emergency stops, safety interlock switches, safety mats and light curtains. It works on 24 V AC/DC, has dual-channel (2 N/C) inputs, and provides 2 immediate N/O safety outputs plus 2 delayed N/O outputs with an adjustable time delay. It mounts on a DIN rail.
The combination of immediate and delayed outputs makes the SR108AD01 suitable for controlled stop applications. The immediate outputs remove power from part of the machine straight away, while the delayed outputs keep power available for a set time. This allows motors to brake under drive control before power is fully removed, for example. Dual-channel input monitoring detects faults such as short circuits between channels.
