Proven Balanced-Arm Mechanism and Deflection System
The PSR-5120 operates via a highly efficient paddle-spring arrangement that remains entirely isolated from the electrical components. As fluid movement exerts force on the lower section of the stainless steel paddle, the paddle pivots about a balanced arm against a pre-stressed leaf spring. The opposite end of the balance arm contains a permanent magnet. When the flow rate reaches the designated setpoint, this magnet triggers an adjustable reed contact situated outside the fluid medium.

The movable plastic contact housing allows operators to shift the internal reed switch manually, easily setting the device to function as either a normally open (N/O) or normally closed (N/C) circuit.
