The Koganei ORV32X800-K2 is a double-acting slit type rodless cylinder from the Koganei ORV Series. It has a Ø32 mm equivalent bore and an 800 mm stroke, and comes with two shock absorber units, one at each end of the stroke. Koganei describes the bore as an “equivalent” size because the ORV uses an oval piston instead of a round one. This keeps the body very low and compact.

Koganei’s own product comparisons give the ORV Series about 35% less dead stroke and about 40% lower height than conventional Koganei slit type rodless cylinders. Block-type end covers allow direct mounting without brackets. A high-strength stainless seal band gives long life and low leakage. The lightweight body puts very little load on the axis or frame, even when the cylinder is used as a Y or Z axis.

Notes from Koganei
- On long strokes, the cylinder body can deflect under load. F-type supports are available for intermediate support.
