The Omron NX1P2-9024DT1 is a compact machine automation controller from Omron’s Sysmac NX1P series. It has 24 built-in I/O points: 14 DC inputs and 10 PNP (sourcing) transistor outputs. It offers 1.5 MB of program memory and built-in EtherCAT and EtherNet/IP ports, and runs on a 24 V DC supply.
The NX1P brings Omron’s Sysmac platform to small and medium machines, at a lower cost than the larger NJ/NX controllers. The built-in EtherCAT master connects up to 16 EtherCAT slaves, such as servo drives, remote I/O and sensors. The EtherNet/IP port links the controller to HMIs, other PLCs and higher-level systems. This model (the “90” version) has no synchronised motion axes but supports up to 4 point-to-point (PTP) positioning axes, which suits simple positioning tasks. The controller can be expanded with up to 8 NX I/O units locally and a serial option board. It is programmed in Sysmac Studio and operates without a battery.
