Kobold NV-5101 – NV Side-Mounted Float Level Switch, Brass, 3/4″ NPT, 1″ Float
The Kobold NV-5101 is a compact side-mounted level switch for liquids from Kobold’s NV series, with a brass body and 3/4″ NPT connection. It has a 1″ (25 mm) stainless steel float on a horizontal balance arm and a hermetically sealed reed contact.
As the liquid level rises or falls, the float moves the balance arm, which carries a permanent magnet that operates the reed contact. The contact is supplied as normally open (NO), closing as the level rises, and can be changed to normally closed (NC) simply by moving the reed switch housing. The switch sensitivity is adjustable, which helps reduce the effect of turbulence in the tank. The rugged all-metal design handles pressures up to 16 bar and temperatures up to 110 °C, and the switch mounts through the side wall of the tank, which suits tanks with inaccessible tops or bottoms.
