The Omron E2B-S08KS02-MC-B1 is an M8 inductive proximity sensor from Omron’s E2B series. It has a short stainless steel housing, a shielded (flush) sensing face with a 2 mm sensing distance, a PNP normally open output and an M8 3-pin connector. It is rated IP67.
Inductive sensors detect metal objects without contact, so there is no mechanical wear. The E2B is Omron’s cost-effective standard proximity sensor, offering reliable detection for everyday automation tasks. The shielded design allows flush mounting in metal, and the short body fits where space behind the mounting point is limited. A 360° LED makes the operating status easy to see from any angle.
