The Omron D4N-1A32R is a pull-reset (manual reset) safety limit switch from Omron’s D4N-R series. It has a roller plunger actuator, 1NC/1NO slow-action contacts with a direct opening mechanism, a Pg13.5 single conduit entry and IP67 protection.
Unlike a standard limit switch, the D4N-R stays latched in the operated position after being actuated. The contacts don’t return to normal until an operator resets the switch by hand. This makes it ideal for overtravel and emergency limit detection: the machine cannot restart until someone has checked the cause and deliberately reset the switch. The direct opening mechanism forces the NC contact open mechanically, even if it has welded, which gives a reliable safety signal. The contacts are suitable for both standard and micro loads.
