Omron CJ1W-CRM21 – CompoNet Master Unit for NJ/CJ-Series PLCs
The Omron CJ1W-CRM21 is the CompoNet Master Unit for Omron CJ-series PLCs and NJ-series machine automation controllers. It manages the CompoNet network and handles communications between the controller and connected slave units, such as remote I/O, sensor terminals and actuator terminals.
CompoNet is a high-speed bit-level network designed to bring I/O close to the sensors and actuators on the machine, which cuts wiring and simplifies maintenance. With one master unit you can control up to 2,560 I/O points and 384 nodes, using word slaves, bit slaves and repeater units for flexible trunk, branch and sub-trunk layouts. The unit supports both remote I/O communications and message communications, and fits a single 31 mm slot in the CJ rack.
