EUCHNER CES-AZ-AES-02B Unicode Evaluation Unit for 2 Read Heads
The EUCHNER CES-AZ-AES-02B (order no. 104775) is the two-channel evaluation unit in the CES-AZ series. One unit monitors two guard doors, including doors fitted with read heads that have integrated guard locking. That suits machines with overtravel hazards and two access points, such as a main door and a maintenance hatch. With read head and actuator, it reaches Category 4 / PL e to EN ISO 13849-1.
Per-Door Monitoring and Diagnostics
Each read head has its own short-circuit-proof semiconductor output (O1, O2), plus a shared diagnostic output (DIA), so the PLC knows which door is open. The feedback loop (Y1/Y2) monitors downstream contactors.
Unicode Safety Outputs
Only taught-in actuators are recognised, and they are taught in by setting a jumper. The two safety outputs are rated DC-13 24 V / 3 A and AC-15 230 V / 2 A. Response time is max. 210 ms with one active actuator and max. 290 ms with two.
