WAGO 787-1632 Switched-Mode Power Supply, Classic, 24 VDC, 10 A, TopBoost
The WAGO 787-1632 is a single-phase switched-mode power supply from WAGO’s EPSITRON® Classic range. It delivers a regulated 24 VDC output at 10 A, which makes it the most powerful single-phase Classic model. It is sized for larger control cabinets and machines, where a PLC, several I/O nodes, HMIs, valves, contactors and sensors all run from one central 24 VDC supply.
TopBoost for Selective Fault Protection
With WAGO’s TopBoost function, the power supply delivers a short burst of current well above its rated output when a short circuit occurs in a 24 VDC branch. This is enough to trip the standard miniature circuit breaker protecting that branch, so the fault is isolated while the rest of the machine keeps running.
High Efficiency, Wide Input Range
With a typical efficiency of 91 %, the 787-1632 keeps heat losses in the cabinet low. It accepts 85–264 VAC (44–66 Hz) or 120–372 VDC, so the same unit can be used on mains supplies worldwide, and the output can be adjusted from 23 to 28.5 VDC to compensate for voltage drop on long cable runs.
Monitoring and Protection
A DC OK contact and a green LED report the output status. On the input side, the unit has an internal T 6.3 A fuse and a varistor. An internal protective circuit limits the output to below 40 VDC in case of an error. Upstream, WAGO specifies a 10 A or 16 A circuit breaker (B or C characteristic); for DC input, an external DC fuse is required.
