The WAGO 750-8212 is a PFC200 G2 programmable controller for the WAGO-I/O-SYSTEM 750. It combines a 1 GHz Cortex A8 processor and real-time Linux with two Ethernet ports and a configurable serial interface. It is built for modern automation projects that need PLC control, fieldbus communication and IT/cloud connectivity in one compact DIN-rail unit.
Performance and Memory
The PFC200 G2 runs real-time Linux (RT-Preempt) on a 1 GHz Cortex A8 CPU, with 512 MB RAM and 4 GB flash. Its e!RUNTIME gives 60 MB of program memory and 60 MB of data memory, and an SD/SDHC card slot (up to 32 GB) provides extra storage and backup. That is a big step up from earlier WAGO 750 controllers.
Programming Options
The 750-8212 is programmed in WAGO e!COCKPIT (based on CODESYS V3) or WAGO-I/O-PRO V2.3, in IEC 61131-3 languages (IL, LD, FBD, ST, SFC).
Interfaces and Protocols
It has two configurable 10/100 Mbit/s Ethernet ports and one RS-232/-485 serial interface. Supported protocols include Modbus TCP/UDP and Modbus RTU (via RS-485), EtherNet/IP adapter, EtherCAT master and MQTT for IoT and cloud connectivity, plus HTTP/HTTPS, SSH, SNMP, NTP, DHCP and DNS.
Upgrading from Older WAGO Controllers
For plants that run the WAGO 750-880 or 750-881 ETHERNET controllers, the PFC200 750-8212 is worth considering for new projects and system upgrades. It works with the same WAGO 750 I/O modules and offers far more processing power, memory and connectivity.
