How Prevention of Unexpected Start-up (+Q950) Works
- The operator activates the function by opening the Prevention of Unexpected Start-up switch, which can be padlocked during work
- The AGPS board then disables the control voltage of the power semiconductors, so the drive cannot start the motor
- ACS800 drives with option +Q950 are delivered with the AGPS board and a 3 m connection cable
- Option +Q950 is not used together with option +Q967 (Safe Torque Off, ASTO board)
Important: as ABB states in its ACS800 manuals, the Prevention of Unexpected Start-up function does not remove the voltage from the main and auxiliary circuits of the drive. Always isolate the drive before working on electrical parts.
