The 5GU25K from Oriental Motor is a GU-type parallel shaft gearhead with a 25:1 ratio, for 90 mm (3.54 in.) square frame motors with a GU-type pinion shaft. It reduces the output to about 72 r/min at 60 Hz (60 r/min at 50 Hz), a balanced, mid-range ratio that gives a useful gain in torque while keeping a practical working speed. That makes it a versatile choice for general-purpose conveyors, feeders, mixers and handling equipment. The 15 mm metric output shaft accepts standard couplings, sprockets and pulleys.
