The Festo 574338 (type SMT-8M-A-NS-24V-E-2,5-OE) is a magnetoresistive proximity sensor that detects piston position on pneumatic actuators with a T-slot. It drops into the slot from above and is fixed with a screw, so you can fit or move it without taking the cylinder apart.
