The Festo 574225 (type VUVG-L10-P53E-T-M7-1R8L) is a 5/3-way solenoid valve with an exhausted mid-position from Festo’s VUVG series. It is an in-line valve with M7 working ports directly on the body, so it works as a standalone valve without a manifold. The body is just 10 mm wide. The valve is spring-centred and internally piloted, so it needs no separate pilot line.
When both coils are de-energised, the valve vents both cylinder chambers. The actuator is then pressure-free and can be moved by hand or stopped without force. Compared with the M5 version, the larger M7 ports give higher flow from the same 10 mm body. The valve runs at 3–8 bar with 24 V DC coils.
