The 4GN5K from Oriental Motor is a compact GN-type parallel shaft gearhead with a 5:1 reduction ratio, for 80 mm (3.15 in.) square frame motors with a GN-type pinion shaft. With the low 5:1 ratio, the output runs at about 360 r/min at 60 Hz (300 r/min at 50 Hz), giving a moderate speed reduction with extra torque. It is well suited to smaller conveyors, roller drives, fans and light-duty machinery. The gearhead has a 10 mm metric output shaft and mounts directly on the motor flange, so the ratio can be changed without replacing the motor.
