ABB 3BSE042236R1 – PP865 15″ Touch Panel, Panel 800 (Legacy Spare)
The ABB 3BSE042236R1 is the PP865, a 15″ colour touch panel from ABB’s Panel 800 operator panel family, used as the local operator interface in automation systems for process visualisation and control. ABB has discontinued the PP865, but many installations still rely on it. Atlantech Drives helps you keep these systems running by sourcing the original 3BSE042236R1 where available, and by guiding you to ABB’s repair service or to the current replacement panel, the PP885.

Lifecycle Status: Three Ways to Keep Your System Running
1. Original spare – PP865 (3BSE042236R1)
For like-for-like replacement without changing the panel application or cabinet cut-out. A later revision of the same panel, the PP865A (3BSE042236R2), also exists.
2. ABB repair service – Y3BSE042236R1
ABB still offers a repair service for this panel under code Y3BSE042236R1 (“PP865, Operator Panel 800, Repair”), a practical option when the existing unit can be refurbished.
3. Upgrade to the current panel – ABB PP885 (3BSE069276R1)
ABB offers a migration path from the PP865 to the PP885 high-performance 15″ touch panel through the StepUp kit STUP-PP885-PP865. Note the requirements for migration:
- Panel Builder 800 version 6 is required (3BSE069300R1)
- If a CB801 was previously used, a CB802 (3BSE069285R1) is required together with the new panel
