ABB 1SBL351001R8422 – A50-30-22 Contactor, 110 V 50 Hz / 110-120 V 60 Hz Coil (Legacy Spare)
The ABB 1SBL351001R8422 is the A50-30-22, a 3-pole block contactor from ABB’s legacy A range, with a 2nd stack of four built-in auxiliary contacts (2 NO + 2 NC) and an AC coil for 110 V 50 Hz / 110-120 V 60 Hz. A50 contactors were designed mainly for controlling 3-phase motors and, more generally, power circuits up to 690 V AC / 1000 V AC or 220 V DC, as well as isolation, capacitor switching and lighting applications. ABB has phased out the A range, and the official successor of the A50 is the AF52. Lifecycle Status and Replacement
ABB’s Life Cycle Management lists the A range as phasing out, with the A50 replaced by the AF52 (or AFC52). The AF52 uses an electronically controlled coil that accepts a wide control voltage range, handles large voltage variations and reduces panel energy consumption. Note that the legacy A range and the AF range are physically different and their accessories are not interchangeable, so check mounting, wiring and accessories before switching.
