Schmersal 101187892 AZM 161CC-12/12RKED/TU-024 – Solenoid Interlock with Rear Escape Release, 24 V AC/DC
The Schmersal 101187892 (AZM 161CC-12/12RKED/TU -024) is an electromechanical solenoid interlock from the Schmersal AZM 161 series. It keeps hinged, sliding and removable safety guards locked until hazardous machine movements have stopped.
It works on the power-to-unlock principle: the guard stays locked when the solenoid is de-energised. The guard locking function reaches up to PL e.
The unit has three ways to release the guard:
- Escape release: a red push button on the rear lets anyone trapped inside the hazardous area open the guard.
- Manual release: on the cover side, with an M5 triangular key.
- Auxiliary release: a rotating unlatcher.
