The Schmersal 101187876 (AZM 161CC-12/12RKED-024) is an electromechanical solenoid interlock from the Schmersal AZM 161 series. It keeps hinged, sliding and removable safety guards locked until hazardous machine movements have stopped.
It works on the power-to-unlock principle: the guard stays locked when the solenoid is de-energised. The guard locking function reaches up to PL e. On this version the manual release sits on the cover side, so it is easy to reach from the front of the unit.
