The Kobold DON-105GN11H0TN is a positive displacement oval gear flow meter from Kobold’s DON series, in the smallest DON-105 size. It has an aluminium body with PPS rotors, a 1/8″ NPT process connection, FKM O-rings and a measuring range of 0.13–9.5 GPH (0.5–36 l/h), calibrated and labelled in US units. It is fitted with a Hall-effect sensor with push-pull pulse output, a 1/2″ NPT cable entry with cooling fin, and is supplied without battery.
In an oval gear meter, two oval rotors turn with the flowing liquid and trap a fixed volume with every rotation. Counting the rotations gives a direct volume measurement that is independent of the liquid’s conductivity, so the DON is ideal for oils, fuels and other non-conductive liquids that magnetic flow meters cannot measure. The meter handles low and high viscosities and offers high accuracy, with ±0.03 % typical repeatability. The cooling fin between the meter body and the electronics keeps heat from the liquid away from the sensor head. The 1/2″ NPT cable entry suits conduit wiring, and the Hall-effect sensor gives an active push-pull pulse signal that connects directly to a PLC, counter or batch controller.
