Kobold NV-5201 – NV Side-Mounted Float Level Switch, Stainless Steel, 3/4″ NPT, 1″ Float
The Kobold NV-5201 is a compact side-mounted level switch for liquids from Kobold’s NV series, with a stainless steel body and 3/4″ NPT connection. It has a 1″ (25 mm) stainless steel float on a horizontal balance arm and a hermetically sealed reed contact.
The stainless steel housing and FPM (Viton) seal make this version suitable for more aggressive liquids and applications where brass is not acceptable, such as demineralised water, chemicals or hygienic processes. As the liquid level rises or falls, the float moves the balance arm, which carries a permanent magnet that operates the reed contact. The contact is supplied as normally open (NO), closing as the level rises, and can be changed to normally closed (NC) simply by moving the reed switch housing. The switch sensitivity is adjustable to reduce the effect of turbulence. The switch mounts through the side wall of the tank and handles up to 16 bar and 110 °C.
