Omron E6C2-CWZ6C 360P/R 2M – E6C2-C Incremental Rotary Encoder, 360 ppr, NPN Open Collector
The Omron E6C2-CWZ6C 360P/R 2M is an incremental rotary encoder from Omron’s E6C2-C series. It has a resolution of 360 pulses per revolution, A, B and Z phase outputs with NPN open collector output, a 5–24 V DC supply and a 6 mm solid shaft, and comes with a 2 m prewired cable.
Incremental encoders turn shaft rotation into pulses so a PLC, counter or drive can measure position, speed and direction. The A and B phases give direction, and the Z phase gives one reference pulse per revolution for homing. The E6C2-C is a robust, general-purpose encoder with IP64 protection, a 100 kHz response frequency and a maximum speed of 6000 rpm, making it suitable for most conveyor, packaging and positioning applications. The wide 5–24 V DC supply range makes it easy to connect to PLC high-speed counter inputs.
