Omron STI MA-10APC4 – MA Series Non-Contact Magnetic Safety Interlock Switch, 1 N/C, 4 m Cable
The Omron MA-10APC4 (formerly STI) is a non-contact magnetic safety interlock switch from the MA series. It is used to monitor guard doors, hatches and covers. It has 1 N/C safety contact and is rated for 110 V AC, and it comes with a 4 m prewired cable. The set consists of a switch and a coded magnet actuator.
Because the switch works by magnetic, non-contact actuation, there are no moving parts to wear, and it is very tolerant of door misalignment. This makes it ideal for sliding, hinged or removable guards where mechanical interlocks are difficult to align. The sealed housing resists washdown and dirty environments. To build a safety circuit, the MA-10APC4 is used together with a safety monitoring relay, which checks the contact and switches off the machine when the guard opens.
