Omron W4S1-05B – W4S1 Industrial Switching Hub, 5-Port Unmanaged Ethernet Switch
The Omron W4S1-05B is a 5-port industrial switching hub from Omron’s W4S1 series. It is an unmanaged Ethernet switch for DIN-rail mounting in control cabinets, used to expand Industrial Ethernet networks between PLCs, HMIs, drives and other field devices.
Being unmanaged, the W4S1-05B needs no software setup: it works straight out of the box. Despite its simplicity, it offers functions designed for automation networks. QoS for EtherNet/IP can be enabled with a DIP switch to prioritise control data, and broadcast storm detection removes excessive broadcast traffic that could disrupt communication. Standard RJ45 ports and a compact housing make it easy to fit into existing panels.
