Oriental Motor 5GV180B – KII Series Parallel Shaft Gearhead, 90 mm, 180:1
The Oriental Motor 5GV180B is a KII Series parallel shaft gearhead with a 180:1 gear ratio, a 90 mm (3.54 in) frame and a metric 18 mm output shaft. It is the highest ratio in the 5GV range. It is designed for Oriental Motor GV-type pinion shaft motors in the 90 mm, 40 W class, such as the 5IK40GV induction motors and the 5IK40UGV and SCM540GV speed control motors.
The 5GV180B reduces motor speed by a factor of 180. With a 40 W speed control motor, it is rated for the gearhead’s maximum permissible torque of 30 N·m, and the output speed range is about 0.5 to 7.7 r/min at 50 Hz. It suits very slow-running conveyors, rotating displays, indexing tables, mixers and other drives that need high torque at extremely low speed.
