Oriental Motor 5GV90B – KII Series Parallel Shaft Gearhead, 90 mm, 90:1
The Oriental Motor 5GV90B is a KII Series parallel shaft gearhead with a 90:1 gear ratio, a 90 mm (3.54 in) frame and a metric 18 mm output shaft. It is designed for Oriental Motor GV-type pinion shaft motors in the 90 mm, 40 W class, such as the 5IK40GV induction motors and the 5IK40UGV and SCM540GV speed control motors.
The 5GV90B reduces motor speed by a factor of 90 and increases output torque by the same factor. With a 40 W speed control motor, it is rated for up to 24.8 N·m of permissible torque, with an output speed range of about 1 to 15.5 r/min at 50 Hz. It suits very slow-running conveyors, indexing tables, mixers and other drives that need high torque at very low speed.
