The 4GN50K from Oriental Motor is a GN-type parallel shaft gearhead with a 50:1 reduction ratio, for 80 mm (3.15 in.) square frame motors with a GN-type pinion shaft. It slows the output to about 36 r/min at 60 Hz (30 r/min at 50 Hz) and substantially increases the torque at the 10 mm metric output shaft. That combination makes it a good match for slow conveyors, rotating displays, dispensers and small positioning mechanisms where low speed matters more than throughput. The gearhead mounts directly on the motor flange and can be exchanged without replacing the motor.
