The 5GN5K from Oriental Motor is a GN-type parallel shaft gearhead with a low 5:1 reduction ratio, for 90 mm (3.54 in.) square frame motors with a GN-type pinion shaft. With its low ratio, it keeps the output fast at about 360 r/min at 60 Hz (300 r/min at 50 Hz) while still multiplying motor torque. That makes it a good fit for faster conveyors, fans, pumps and roller drives that need a moderate speed reduction rather than a large one. Its 12 mm metric output shaft connects to pulleys, sprockets and couplings, and the gearhead can be swapped on the motor without replacing the motor itself.
