PRA-8A-2C-Y-Z Winner Hydraulics Compact Inverse Proportional Pilot Relief Valve, 16 mm Tube
The Winner Hydraulics PRA-8A-2C-Y-Z is an inverse direct-acting, poppet-type proportional relief valve with pilot capacity, built on a compact 16 mm armature tube for the 8A-2 cavity. Without a command signal it holds its highest pressure setting. As coil current rises, the relief pressure falls proportionally. Rated to 350 bar with 1 L/min rated flow (2 L/min maximum), it is a lightweight electro-proportional pilot for Winner relief main stages with an integral 8A control cavity.
How the PRA-8A-2C-Y-Z Works
A spring holds the poppet closed at the top of the selected pressure range. The poppet lifts, allowing flow from port 1 to port 2, when pressure at port 1 overcomes the spring force minus the solenoid force produced by the analog input signal. So more current means a lower setting, and zero current returns the valve to its maximum setting. Back pressure at port 2 (tank) adds to the setting at a 1:1 ratio.
