The Danfoss 068Z3400 is a T 2 thermostatic expansion valve for R404A/R507A. It covers range N (−40 to +10 °C) and has an internal pressure equaliser. The T 2 is Danfoss’s compact, brass-bodied flare valve for small and medium commercial refrigeration systems, such as display cabinets, cold rooms, ice machines, small condensing units and refrigeration packs. It belongs to the T2/TE2 parts programme, which uses interchangeable orifice assemblies, so one valve can cover a range of capacities.

Internal vs. External Equaliser
The internally equalised 068Z3400 suits evaporators with a low pressure drop, typically single-circuit coils without a liquid distributor. For evaporators with a significant pressure drop, the externally equalised TE 2 version is the usual choice.
