LAD4TBDL Schneider Electric – TeSys Deca Bidirectional Peak Limiting Diode Suppressor, 12–24 V DC Coils
The Schneider Electric LAD4TBDL is a clip-on suppressor module for TeSys Deca contactors and control relays with DC coils from 12 to 24 V DC. It uses a bidirectional peak-limiting diode to clamp the voltage spike produced when the coil is switched off, keeping it to a maximum of 2 Uc. This protects PLC outputs, interface relays and other electronics in the control circuit. Schneider Electric also specifies it as the replacement diode for TeSys Deca LC1D09–D38 contactors ordered with BD or BL coil codes, if the factory-fitted diode fails.

Replacement for BD and BL Coil Contactors
TeSys Deca contactors with 24 V DC standard (BD) or low-consumption (BL) coils, such as the LC1D326BL, are supplied with a suppressor already fitted. If that diode is damaged or missing, the LAD4TBDL restores the original coil protection without replacing the contactor.
Why a Bidirectional Diode for DC Coils?
A peak-limiting diode clamps the coil’s switch-off surge to a defined level while adding very little delay to the contactor’s opening time. That makes it well suited to 24 V DC control circuits driven directly by PLC transistor outputs.
