The XUX9ARCNT16 is a long-range polarised reflex photoelectric sensor from the Telemecanique Sensors XU range, formerly sold as Schneider Electric OsiSense XU. It has a nominal sensing distance of 11 m, so it can monitor wide conveyors, gates and loading bays from one side using a reflector. The polarised red beam reliably ignores reflections from shiny objects, which helps when detecting wrapped pallets, metal parts or glossy packaging. Its universal 24–240 V AC/DC supply and volt-free relay output let it connect directly to almost any control circuit.
