AFP7AD8 Panasonic FP7 Analog Input Unit – 8 Channels, 16-Bit, High-Speed Multi-Channel Type
The Panasonic AFP7AD8 is the high-speed, multi-channel analog input unit for the FP7 PLC. It packs 8 voltage/current input channels into a single 130 g module, twice the channel count of the 4-channel AFP7AD4H. That means fewer slots and lower cost per channel when a machine has many analog signals, such as pressure, flow, level, load cells and position transmitters. Each channel can be set independently to ±10 V, 0–10 V, 0–5 V, 1–5 V, 0–20 mA or 4–20 mA, with resolution up to 16 bits and conversion at 25 µs per channel. Overall accuracy is ±0.1 % F.S. at 25 °C. Channels are isolated from each other by PhotoMOS relays and from the internal circuits by photocouplers and an isolated DC/DC converter. Built-in averaging, scaling, offset/gain, min/max hold, limit comparison, broken-wire detection and a triggered buffer function reduce PLC programming effort.

AFP7AD8 or AFP7AD4H?
Choose the AFP7AD8 for maximum channel density per slot. For the highest accuracy (±0.05 % F.S.), an insulated-channel mode and broken-wire detection on the 1–5 V range as well, see the 4-channel AFP7AD4H.
