FT-42 Panasonic Thru-Beam Fiber – M4 Threaded, 2 m Free-Cut, IP67
The Panasonic FT-42 is a threaded thru-beam fiber with M4 heads, 15 mm long, and a top-view beam. It is one of the most widely used general-purpose fibers in Panasonic’s range. It is supplied as a pair (emitter and receiver fiber) on a 2 m free-cut cable that can be trimmed on site, with an R4 mm bending radius. Paired with an FX-500 series amplifier, it reaches up to 3.6 m in HYPR mode, and its ø1 mm beam detects small objects passing between the two heads. IP67 protection and a −55 to +80 °C range suit it to harsh machine environments, and optional lenses and protective tubes extend its use.
