Why Add PROFIBUS to a PSTX Softstarter
Every PSTX softstarter comes with built-in Modbus RTU via RS485. When the plant network runs on PROFIBUS instead, the AB-PROFIBUS-1 plugs into the PSTX Anybus connection so the softstarter can be integrated directly into the existing fieldbus, without external gateways. This allows start/stop commands, status information and motor data to be exchanged with the control system over PROFIBUS.
