WAGO 859-304 Relay Module, 24 VDC, 1 Changeover Contact, 6 mm
The WAGO 859-304 is a compact coupling relay module with a 24 VDC input, one changeover contact and a red status LED, in a housing only 6 mm wide. It sits between a PLC’s digital outputs and the field. It switches contactors, solenoid valves, lamps and other loads up to 250 VAC while keeping the control system electrically separated from the load circuit.
Safe Isolation Between Control and Load
The 859-304 provides reinforced insulation (safe isolation) between the 24 VDC control side and the switched load circuit. It protects the PLC and the low-voltage control wiring from the load side, an important point when a control cabinet mixes 24 VDC control circuits with 230 VAC loads.
Switching Performance
The AgSnO₂ changeover contact carries a continuous current of up to 5 A and switches up to 250 VAC, with a switching capacity of AC-15 3 A / 250 VAC and DC-13 2 A / 24 VDC. Typical pull-in and drop-out times are 6 ms. The module draws only 10 mA at 24 VDC, so a standard PLC output can drive it directly.
Compact and Easy to Wire
At 6 mm wide and 56 mm deep, the 859-304 is very compact, which suits shallow control boxes as well as standard cabinets. Wiring uses CAGE CLAMP® terminals for conductors from 0.08 to 2.5 mm², and a red LED shows when the relay is energised.
859-304 or 857-304?
Both are 6 mm, 24 VDC relay modules with one changeover contact:
