WAGO 787-1622 Switched-Mode Power Supply, Classic, 24 VDC, 5 A, TopBoost
The WAGO 787-1622 is a single-phase switched-mode power supply from WAGO’s EPSITRON® Classic range. It delivers a regulated 24 VDC output at 5 A for DIN-rail mounting. It is the most powerful model in this Classic series, sized for complete control cabinets: PLCs, WAGO I/O nodes, HMI panels, relays, sensors and small actuators running from a single 24 VDC supply.
TopBoost: Reliable Tripping of Circuit Breakers
The 787-1622 features WAGO’s TopBoost function. For a very short time, the power supply delivers a current well above its rated output. That is enough to trip a standard miniature circuit breaker in a faulty 24 VDC branch, so the fault is isolated selectively while the rest of the cabinet keeps running. A conventional power supply often cannot provide enough current to trip the breaker, and the whole 24 VDC supply collapses instead.
DC OK Contact for Monitoring
A built-in DC OK contact reports the status of the output voltage to the PLC or a signalling device, so a supply failure can be detected and handled straight away. Because it is a contact rather than an electronic signal, it can be wired directly into existing monitoring circuits.
