WAGO 750-881 Controller ETHERNET, 3rd Generation
The WAGO 750-881 is a programmable ETHERNET controller (PLC) for the WAGO-I/O-SYSTEM 750. It connects Ethernet networks to the modular WAGO I/O system and runs the control program locally, in a compact DIN-rail housing. It is one of the most widely installed WAGO controllers, used in machine building, building automation, water treatment and energy applications.
Programming with CODESYS 2.3
The 750-881 is programmed in WAGO-I/O-PRO V2.3, based on CODESYS V2.3. It supports all IEC 61131-3 languages: Instruction List (IL), Ladder Diagram (LD), Function Block Diagram (FBD), Continuous Function Chart (CFC), Structured Text (ST) and Sequential Function Chart (SFC). It has 1,024 kB of program memory, 512 kB of data memory and 32 kB of non-volatile memory for retain data.
Two RJ-45 Ports with Integrated Switch
Two 10/100 Mbit/s RJ-45 ports with an integrated switch, auto-negotiation and Auto-MDI(X) allow devices to be wired in a line, with no external switch. Supported protocols include Modbus TCP and EtherNet/IP, plus HTTP (web server), FTP, SNMP, SNTP, BootP, DHCP and DNS.
750-881 vs. 750-880
Both are 3rd-generation ETHERNET controllers with the same CODESYS 2.3 platform and two-port switch. The 750-880 adds an SD card slot and doubles the data memory to 1,024 kB. The 750-881 is the standard version without SD card.
Lifecycle Note
WAGO lists a successor model for the 750-881 on its website. For existing installations, the original 750-881 is the direct plug-in replacement, keeping the existing program and wiring. For new projects, our team can advise on WAGO’s current controller range.
