The IFM KI5002 (shortcode: KI-3015-BPKG/NI) is a high-performance capacitive proximity sensor engineered for reliable level monitoring, bulk material detection, and non-contact position sensing. Built into a durable cylindrical threaded M30 x 1.5 plastic housing made of PBT with a total length of 81 mm, it utilizes a non-flush mountable installation design. It features an easily adjustable sensing range via potentiometer with a factory setting and rated sensing range of 15 mm, a real sensing range ($Sr$) of 15 mm $\pm$ 10%, and an operating distance of 0 to 12.1 mm. Target material correction factors include water = 1, glass approx. 0.4, ceramics approx. 0.2, and PVC approx. 0.2.
