The IFM IFS304 (shortcode: IFB2002-BPOG/US-100) is a reliable inductive proximity sensor engineered for standard industrial applications and factory automation. Built into a robust cylindrical threaded M12 x 1 metal barrel housing made of white bronze-coated brass with a total length of 60 mm, it utilizes a flush mountable installation design. It provides a rated sensing range of 2 mm, a real sensing range ($Sr$) of 2 mm $\pm$ 10%, and an operating distance of 0 to 1.62 mm. Material correction factors include mild steel = 1, stainless steel approx. 0.7, brass approx. 0.5, aluminium approx. 0.4, and copper approx. 0.3.
