IFM II5785 Inductive Proximity Sensor
Technical Specifications & Features
The IFM II5785 (shortcode: IIK3022-BPKG/US-104) is an advanced, high-performance inductive proximity sensor featuring an extended sensing range. Built into a robust cylindrical threaded M30 x 1.5 metal barrel housing with a total length of 70 mm, it utilizes a non-flush mountable installation design. It provides an exceptional rated sensing range of 22 mm, a real sensing range ($Sr$) of 22 mm $\pm$ 10%, and an operating distance of 0 to 17.82 mm. The unit is constructed with a white bronze-coated brass housing, a white LCP sensing face, a PEI LED window, and an M12 connector with gold-plated contacts. Material correction factors include mild steel = 1, stainless steel approx. 0.7, brass approx. 0.5, aluminium approx. 0.4, and copper approx. 0.3.
Key Operational Benefits & Electrical Data
-
Electrical Ratings: Operates on a DC PNP architecture with an operating voltage range of 10 to 30 V DC, a current consumption of less than 10 mA, a protection class II rating, and a permanent switching output current rating of 200 mA.
-
Switching Performance: Features a normally open (NO) output function with a maximum voltage drop of 2.5 V, a switching frequency of 50 Hz, a hysteresis of 3 to 15% of $Sr$, and a switch-point drift of -10 to 10% of $Sr$.
-
Environmental & Mechanical Protection: Rated to IP65, IP66, and IP67 for superior protection against dust and moisture in harsh industrial applications. It operates efficiently within an ambient temperature range of -25 °C to 70 °C and incorporates built-in short-circuit protection, overload protection, and reverse polarity protection.
