IFM IFW201 Inductive Sensor
Technical Specifications & Features
The IFM IFW201 is a high-performance, magnetic-field immune inductive proximity sensor specially engineered for demanding welding applications. Built into a durable M12 x 1 threaded brass anti-spatter housing with an overall length of 65 mm, it features a non-flush mountable design with an increased sensing range of 8 mm. It incorporates correction factor K = 1 technology, delivering a constant sensing range across all metals (including steel, stainless steel, brass, aluminium, and copper).
Key Operational Benefits & Electrical Data
-
Electrical Ratings: Operates on a DC PNP architecture with a supply voltage range of 10 to 30 V DC, a current consumption of less than 20 mA, and a permanent switching output current rating of 100 mA.
-
Switching Performance & Immunity: Features a normally open (NO) output function with a maximum voltage drop of 2.5 V, an exceptional switching frequency of 2000 Hz, and high magnetic-field immunity up to 300 mT.
-
Environmental & Mechanical Protection: Rated to IP67 with gold-plated contacts and built-in short-circuit protection, overload protection, and reverse polarity protection. It functions reliably within an ambient temperature range of -25 °C to 70 °C.
