IFM IE5090 Inductive Proximity Sensor
Technical Specifications & Features
The IFM IE5090 (shortcode: IEB3001-BPOG/US-100-DPS) is a compact, high-precision inductive proximity sensor designed for industrial automation and factory floor applications. Built into a threaded M8 x 1 metal barrel housing made of white bronze-coated brass and PBT, it delivers reliable metal detection with a flush mountable design. Key technical data features a sensing range of 1 mm, a real sensing range (Sr) of 1 mm ± 10%, and an operating distance of 0 to 0.8 mm.
Key Operational Benefits & Electrical Data
-
Electrical Ratings: Operates on a DC PNP architecture with a supply voltage range of 10 to 36 V DC, a maximum current consumption of 15 mA (at 24 V), and a permanent switching output current rating of 200 mA.
-
Switching Performance: Features a normally open (NO) output function with a maximum voltage drop of 2.5 V and a high switching frequency of 750 Hz.
-
Environmental & Mechanical Protection: Rated to IP67 for superior protection against dust and moisture, operating reliably within an ambient temperature range of -25 °C to 80 °C. It incorporates reverse polarity protection, overload protection, short-circuit protection, and connects via a standard M12 connector.
