Nidec Control Techniques SP4402 – Unidrive SP AC Drive, Size 4, 400 V, 37 kW HD / 45 kW ND
The Nidec Control Techniques SP4402 is a Unidrive SP universal AC and servo drive, frame size 4, for 3-phase 380–480 V AC supplies. It is dual-rated: 37 kW (50 hp) in heavy duty and 45 kW (60 hp) in normal duty.
The Unidrive SP was Control Techniques’ flagship high-performance drive platform. One drive can run in open-loop V/Hz, open-loop vector, closed-loop vector or servo mode, so it controls induction motors with or without encoder feedback as well as servo motors. Its three Solutions Module slots accept fieldbus, encoder, I/O and application modules (e.g. SM-Applications Plus, SM-Universal Encoder Plus, SM-CANopen). The SMARTCARD stores parameters for quick drive replacement. Because parameters and option modules transfer directly, a like-for-like SP4402 is the fastest way to restore a machine without re-engineering the application.
